Responsible Data Practices
Datadini only processes publicly available business information.
We operate responsibly, ethically, and in line with fair data usage expectations.
Our automated discovery system ("Dinibot") follows industry best-practice politeness rules and is designed to avoid unnecessary load on websites.
We do not attempt to access private areas, bypass security, or collect personal consumer data.
We respect privacy, legitimate interests, and opt-out requests.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Name
- Authentication credentials
Storage: All account and authentication data is stored and managed by Kinde.com, our third-party authentication provider. Datadini does not store your password or authentication credentials on our servers.
1.2 Business & Platform Usage Data
When you use our services, we may collect:
- Company information you provide
- Search queries and usage patterns
- Service preferences and settings
1.3 Public Business Data (Dinibot)
We collect publicly available business information such as:
- Public business email addresses and phone numbers
- Company websites and metadata
- Social media profiles
- Publicly displayed company numbers
We do not collect:
- Personal consumer data
- Private or pay-walled content
- Credentials or login-protected content
Legal basis: Legitimate interests (business intelligence and fraud prevention)

1.4 Form Submissions
When you submit forms (data rights requests, opt-out requests), we store:
- Contact information you provide
- Company details
- Request details and correspondence
- Timestamps of submissions

Legal Basis for Processing
We process publicly available business data under the legitimate interests basis. A Legitimate Interests Assessment (LIA) is available upon request.
We process publicly available Companies House data under the Open Government Licence (OGL).
Marketing Communications

- Service-critical emails cannot be opted out of

Important: Datadini does not store payment details or authentication credentials. These are managed entirely by our third-party providers who are fully GDPR and UK DPA compliant.

- Secure server infrastructure
- Regular security audits
- Access controls and authentication
- Third-party security certifications (via our providers)
However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Form submissions: Retained for 6 years (legal compliance)
- Opt-out requests: Retained indefinitely to ensure ongoing exclusion
- Analytics data: Retained for 24 months
- Deleted accounts: Data removed within 30 days of deletion request
6. Your Rights Under GDPR & UK DPA
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate information
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing
- Data portability (receive your data)
- Object to processing

Note: Our analytics provider (PostHog) runs in privacy-friendly mode with minimal cookie usage.

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your data may be processed in countries outside the UK/EU. We ensure adequate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
